Will we be the only group at Iron Horse Motorcycle Lodge?
We have complete use of the full facility at IronHorse Motorcycle Lodge and Campground. We have blocked all the cabins and RV spaces. Since Tent Camping Space is unlimited other guests may be there using the Tent Camping Spaces as well.

Is there another motel nearby?
Yes! Please see our Location & Lodging page.

Is there a registration fee?
NO! We will ask for voluntary donations to offset some expenses, but it is strictly a voluntary donation. While the Tech Guys are donating their time, tools and experience, I would hope that we could at least offset some of their lodging costs.

Can we ship parts, supplies or gear?
Yes. Use the address for IronHorse Lodge on the Location & Lodging page. You may want to give them a call or email them to let the folks know to expect a package. Mark package with Spring Training Camp for Riders and your name.

What about food service?
Check the IronHorse Lodge website. They will prepare all the meals.

Food and serving times:

  • Evening meals will be served from 6:30 to 8 PM.
Breakfast is served from 7:30 until 9 :00 AM, with coffee ready at 7AM.
  • Breakfast is ordered the night before.
  • Meals are paid for at the time of the order, by cash, check or credit card (Master Card and Visa)
  • Evening Meals
Since Thursday will be the arrival day for most some will be arriving late we will either have a spaghetti meal with salad, bread, drink, and dessert OR light sandwiches, burgers, short orders, soup or chili.
  • Lunch
Lunch is pretty much on your own, if you at a tech session, lunch will be available at the Lodge with short orders, sandwiches, soup or chili.

Does IronHorse sell or serve beer?
No. IronHorse will sell us bagged ice and rent us large coolers to save from having to bring those items. Beer and other like beverages are allowed at the facility, however they need to be purchased in the next county—Bryson City (20 minutes). Ingle Supermarket has the largest selection. There are a few C Stores nearby on Hwy 74 that also sell beverages.

Are there laundry facilities at Ironhorse?
Yes.

Is there phone service or Internet service in the rooms?
There is no phone service available in the cabins. Cell phones may have a problem with mountain range. They do have wireless Internet service.

If I am camping, do I make a reservation?
Yes. This will enable us to plan better and will give the Iron Horse folks a heads up on the number to prepare food for meals. www.ironhorsenc.com

Can I volunteer to help?
YES! We will need help in several areas. Everything from setting up the shop, cleaning up the shop during sessions, teaching a seminar, "how to do" this and that, answer questions. We will not try to overload anyone and let everyone enjoy the area and the event.
